These developments were advanced by the Housing Development Corporation and are funded in partnership between the Government of Canada, Province of Ontario, and the City of London.

HDC Initiated and Approved Since Incorporation (Oct 27, 2015)

27 Centre Street, London

27 Centre Street is a brownfield incentive that will have a mix of affordable and market rental units for a total of 61 units. This development will have some specific units designed in partnership with DeafBlind Ontario Services.  
Key features include 5 fully accessible units and the building will be completed with central air throughout. 
Project occupancy will be in the summer of 2017. 




356 Dundas Street, London

356 Dundas Street is located on a prime infill in the downtown core between Waterloo and Colborne Streets. It will provide 50 one bedroom affordable rental units, 10 of which will be provided to the Canadian Mental Health Association.  It will also provide 19 market rent units which are a mix of one and two bedrooms. 
Each floor will have its own laundry room and two bicycle storage rooms available on the ground floor, a landscaped common courtyard, and security cameras which will be installed in the building and on the exterior.  
Construction will start in the beginning of 2017, with an expected completion date in late 2018. 


516 Albert Street, Strathroy

This development is located in Strathroy Ontario.  It includes 24 one bedroom affordable rental units and 3 affordable rental two bedroom units, to support congregate living, which will be provided to Community Living Middlesex. It will also include 4 market rental units. Features will include in floor heating, granite countertops, onsite parking, and controlled entry.
Construction for 516 Albert Street started in late 2016 and is set to be completed in 2018. 

Transitioned to HDC and Under Development

193 Clarke Road, London

193 Clarke Road is an infill project owned and operated by It’s Our Home. The target population is single adults with autism spectrum disorder who require modest quality housing close to services and transportation. The site is located in the mature neighbourhood of single family homes in east London. 
The project includes: 14 one bedroom units (including 2 fully accessible units), laundry, administration office, a public lounge, indoor bicycle storage, and outdoor amenities including landscaping and sitting area.  Construction is underway with an anticipated completion in the fall of 2017.


226-230 Dundas Street, London

The development is located on Dundas Street in between Clarence and Wellington Streets, listed as a priority one heritage building. The building is formally operated as a restaurant and nightclub and will provide 33 one bedroom affordable rental units.  The main floor is be designed for commercial use. 
The building is within walking distance of businesses and services of the downtown core which include a grocery store, banking, restaurants, Covent Garden Market, Budweiser Gardens, and the Fanshawe College downtown campus. Construction is underway with an anticipated completion in late 2018.
